Please comment on and share the posts you enjoy; I would love to get people talking and debating on films they love. Also, let me know of any films I should see!

The end of a saga

Twilight the Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2:
I kick myself in the ass, as I checked the red carpet premiere date for London this morning only to find out that it happened as I slept last night! Then I found out the premiere for the release in the whole of UK theaters is Friday morning and I was greeted with the prospect of not being able to get midnight premiere tickets to Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Following the extreme disappointment of my own stupidity of not checking sooner about the London red carpet premiere, it's needless to say I was bumming hardcore.
But alas good news was on the horizon and there were still seats available at the midnight premiere at the Odeon theater for Twilight the Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 IMAX! I quickly booked and soon found a friend to go with--who I made quickly book as well. We even have assigned seats, weird; but at least it's premium premiere seats.
One can only gush.
I am proud of my nerdiness and am in fact a huge Twilight fan. (as well as all the other major franchise books to movie films, i.e. Harry Potter and The Hunger Games)
Although, unlike the ending of Harry Potter, I must say I am not too sure about the excitement of the ending of Twilight.
With the first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows there is a slow feel to the film as it lets the audience know the plot line and build the story up for the action filled epic conclusion.
But with Twilight, I feel it's the other way around.
There's a lot of action in the first one and then it slows down. Sure it has a battle scene in the end, but with Bella's "gift" it seems to be rather boring; but who knows if the director and screenwriters solved that problem that the storyline has in the book, then perhaps it will be just as epic as part 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
I thankfully will be able to find out Thursday night/Friday morning, and can't wait to see how everything plays out as the saga comes to an end.

Luke Dunphy---Genius!

Those who watch the hit TV show Modern Family are familiar with odd ball Luke Dunphy and his somewhat "dumb" persona.
But I bet many didn't know that the actor who portrays him is anything but stupid.
In fact Nolan Gould (Luke Dunphy), 13, has already graduated high school and is going on to pursue college courses. He is also a member of Mensa, with an IQ of 150 and plays an array of very different instruments; including the banjo, didgeridoo and is now learning how to play the sitar.
This may not be new news, but its new to me.
I was completely shocked and every time I look at him now I don't see "dumb" Luke Dunphy.
Its a charade now. I almost wish I never found out he was a genius.
I'm also quite a bit jealous and wish I had the focus he has, but instead I feel as though I identify more with Luke Dunphy.
What a conundrum.

Taken 2

Last night I was invited out to go see "Taken 2", but am unfamiliar with the first installment of the film "Taken", so I 'IMDB'ed it.
Immediately as I started watching the "Taken" trailer I bursted out laughing! I had practically already seen it.
How so, you may ask: Family Guy!
"Family Guy" had done a parody of the film in a 30 minute slot, one of many I have seen and loved.
Aside from that I decided to go see "Taken 2"; though I feared that I would only see "Family Guy" while watching the film.
Luckily that wasn't the case.
I really enjoyed the movie.
It was fast paced. Action packed. and had not just myself, but others in the theater visibly on the edge of their seats.
I recommend that people who enjoy action cinema to go and see this thrill based sequel  that has Liam Neeson go from "old guy" to action packed hunk.
